Gbanjo Seller Terms
These Seller Terms ("Seller Terms") apply when you create, publish, manage, or complete a sale on Gbanjo.
They supplement the Gbanjo Terms of Service.
By accepting these Seller Terms or publishing a listing, you agree to them.
1. Seller eligibility
To sell on Gbanjo, you must:
- have a valid Gbanjo account;
- be at least 18 years old;
- have legal capacity to sell;
- satisfy any identity-verification requirement;
- satisfy any payout-account requirement;
- accept the current Seller Terms version.
Gbanjo may restrict seller access where required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or marketplace safety.
2. Ownership and authority to sell
By publishing a listing, you represent that:
- you own the item or are authorized by the owner to sell it;
- the item is legally transferable;
- no law, contract, lien, restriction, event rule, or third-party right prevents the sale unless clearly disclosed and legally permissible;
- you can complete the handoff if a valid transaction results.
For vehicles or other title/document-heavy items, you are responsible for having the documents necessary to complete transfer.
For tickets, you are responsible for ensuring the ticket is transferable.
3. Listing accuracy
You must provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You must not:
- hide known material defects;
- materially misstate condition;
- use misleading photos;
- misrepresent brand, model, age, mileage, capacity, specification, ownership, provenance, authenticity, or transferability;
- list an item you do not possess or control unless Gbanjo expressly allows that listing model;
- publish a usable ticket QR code, barcode, or access credential in public listing media.
Where Gbanjo provides structured listing fields, you must complete them honestly.
4. Authenticity and seller claims
If you state that an item is authentic, genuine, original, certified, signed, titled, registered, or otherwise verified, you are responsible for the truth of that statement.
Unless Gbanjo expressly states otherwise:
- Gbanjo does not authenticate your item;
- Gbanjo does not certify vehicle title;
- Gbanjo does not certify artwork provenance;
- Gbanjo does not guarantee ticket validity.
You must cooperate with reasonable buyer due diligence before completion.
5. Item condition
Where condition applies, you must select the condition that most accurately reflects the item.
You must separately disclose known material defects even if the overall condition is "New", "Like New", or "Good".
Condition labels do not override the detailed disclosure.
Tickets do not use ordinary physical-item condition labels.
6. Prohibited items
You may not list anything prohibited by:
- law;
- the Gbanjo Marketplace Rules;
- the Prohibited Items Policy;
- payment-provider rules that apply to Gbanjo.
Gbanjo may remove a prohibited listing, suspend the auction, restrict payout, or suspend the seller account.
7. Auction settings
You are responsible for the seller-controlled auction settings you select, including where applicable:
- starting bid;
- minimum selling price / reserve;
- Buy Now price;
- auction access mode;
- auction duration;
- scheduled start;
- pickup / seller-delivery availability.
Gbanjo controls bidder deposit policy.
Sellers do not set bidder deposit amounts.
8. Deposit Reference Value
For bidder-deposit purposes, Gbanjo may calculate the Deposit Reference Value using the highest available seller-set price among:
- starting bid;
- reserve / minimum selling price;
- Buy Now price.
This is an operational deposit-policy value.
It is not a Gbanjo appraisal or market valuation.
9. Auction integrity
You must not:
- bid on your own listing;
- ask another person to place sham bids;
- use another account to inflate the price;
- coordinate bids to manipulate the auction;
- create fake activity;
- pressure a bidder to transact outside Gbanjo in order to avoid the auction result or applicable fees.
Once a valid bid has been accepted, material listing fields may become locked.
10. Seller cancellation
After valid bidding has begun, you may not cancel an auction merely because:
- you dislike the current price;
- you received an off-platform offer;
- you want to sell privately;
- you want to avoid Gbanjo fees.
Gbanjo may allow cancellation for legitimate reasons such as:
- material listing error;
- item loss or destruction;
- safety issue;
- legal restriction;
- account compromise;
- another reason accepted under marketplace policy.
Gbanjo may record cancellations and apply seller restrictions for abuse.
11. Winner payment and contact unlock
When an auction ends, the winning bidder must complete the required purchase payment.
Before Gbanjo confirms that payment:
- the buyer does not receive your private contact details through Gbanjo;
- private transaction chat remains locked.
After the winning buyer's required purchase payment is confirmed:
- Gbanjo may disclose your approved contact details to the winning buyer;
- Gbanjo may unlock a private transaction chat between you and the winning buyer;
- you and the buyer may arrange the handoff directly.
By selling on Gbanjo, you agree to this payment-gated disclosure of your approved contact details to the paid winning buyer for transaction-completion purposes.
12. No Gbanjo logistics
Gbanjo does not provide logistics.
You may offer:
- Pickup;
- Seller Delivery;
- Both.
Pickup
You and the buyer arrange where and when the item will be collected.
Seller Delivery
You are responsible for arranging and completing delivery yourself.
You may use a third-party courier of your choice outside Gbanjo, but that courier is not a Gbanjo logistics provider merely because you use it.
You are responsible for the seller-delivery arrangement.
13. Private contact and chat use
Once unlocked, transaction contact details and chat must be used only for legitimate transaction purposes.
You must not:
- harass the buyer;
- use contact details for unrelated marketing;
- sell or share the buyer's private information;
- threaten or pressure the buyer;
- use the chat for unlawful conduct.
Gbanjo may retain transaction chat as part of the transaction record and for dispute, fraud, safety, or legal purposes.
14. Handoff
After payment, you must reasonably cooperate with the buyer to arrange handoff.
Depending on the item, handoff may involve:
- pickup;
- seller delivery;
- ticket transfer;
- vehicle/document transfer;
- equipment inspection and collection;
- another agreed transfer method supported by the listing.
You must not mark an item as delivered, handed over, or transferred before that event has actually occurred.
15. Marking delivery / handoff complete
After you have completed your side of the handoff, you may mark the applicable seller state, such as:
- Delivered;
- Handed Over;
- Transferred.
This seller action does not by itself guarantee immediate payout.
The buyer may then:
- confirm receipt and completion;
- report a problem;
- raise a dispute.
16. Seller payout
Seller payout becomes eligible only when the transaction reaches the required completion state.
Gbanjo may delay payout where:
- buyer confirmation is still required;
- a dispute is open;
- a payment reversal or chargeback exists;
- fraud or account review is required;
- law or payment-provider requirements require a hold;
- transaction records are inconsistent.
Gbanjo may initiate payout through its payment service provider after payout becomes eligible.
A status such as "expected payout" is not the same as money actually paid.
17. Fees
Gbanjo may charge a seller success fee or other seller fee.
The applicable fee will be disclosed to you before you publish the listing or before it becomes payable.
The applicable seller fee will be displayed before you publish the listing or otherwise become committed to the fee. By publishing the listing, you agree to the disclosed fee. Where applicable, Gbanjo may deduct the fee from the seller payout.
18. Taxes
You are responsible for determining and paying any tax, levy, duty, or reporting obligation that applies to your sale, except where Gbanjo is legally required to collect, withhold, or report an amount.
Gbanjo may provide transaction records to support your own reporting.
19. Buyer inspection and due diligence
For certain items, the buyer may reasonably require inspection or verification before confirming completion.
Examples include:
- watches and jewellery;
- vehicles;
- artwork and collectibles;
- generators or machinery;
- other high-value goods.
You must reasonably cooperate with due diligence that is proportionate to the item and transaction.
You are not required to accept abusive, unsafe, or unreasonable demands.
20. Vehicles
If you sell a vehicle, you are responsible for:
- accurately stating make, model, year, mileage, known faults, and material vehicle information;
- accurately describing documentation status;
- having the legal right to sell;
- providing the documentation necessary to complete the agreed transfer.
Gbanjo does not complete legal vehicle ownership transfer for you.
The buyer is responsible for independently checking the vehicle and documents before confirming completion.
21. Tickets
If you sell an event ticket, you represent that:
- you have the right to sell it;
- it is transferable under the applicable event/organizer rules;
- the event, ticket type, quantity, seat/section where relevant, and transfer restrictions are accurate;
- you will transfer the ticket by the stated deadline.
You must not publicly display a usable ticket credential.
If an event is cancelled, postponed, rescheduled, or otherwise affected, you must cooperate with Gbanjo's applicable refund/dispute process and any legal obligations.
22. Buyer complaints and disputes
If a buyer raises a problem, you must:
- respond honestly;
- provide relevant evidence when requested;
- preserve relevant messages and documents;
- not intimidate or retaliate against the buyer;
- cooperate with the Gbanjo dispute process.
While a dispute is open, payout may remain restricted.
23. Returns and refunds
Return/refund treatment may depend on:
- item condition;
- seller misrepresentation;
- non-delivery;
- failed transfer;
- dispute outcome;
- applicable consumer law;
- event-ticket circumstances;
- another disclosed marketplace policy.
You may not use these Seller Terms to avoid any consumer obligation that the law does not allow you to exclude.
24. Public seller profile and reviews
Your seller activity may contribute to:
- public rating;
- completed-sales count;
- public reviews;
- verification status;
- public seller profile;
- active public listings.
Gbanjo may remove or moderate reviews that violate marketplace policy, but does not guarantee a positive rating.
25. Enforcement
Gbanjo may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate seller privileges where reasonably necessary because of:
- repeated cancellations;
- misleading listings;
- prohibited items;
- non-delivery;
- counterfeit goods;
- auction manipulation;
- abusive behavior;
- fraud;
- payment or chargeback abuse;
- failure to cooperate with valid disputes;
- legal or regulatory requirements.
Gbanjo may consider seller history and severity when applying marketplace enforcement.
26. Changes to Seller Terms
Gbanjo may issue a new Seller Terms version.
Where required, sellers must accept the new version before publishing another listing or using seller features.
Acceptance should be recorded with:
- user ID;
- Seller Terms version;
- accepted timestamp;
- source/device or audit metadata where appropriate.
A new Seller Terms version does not automatically rewrite the terms of a completed transaction unless required by law.
27. Governing law
These Seller Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Nothing in these Seller Terms removes any statutory right or obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded.
